Our company uses sex reverse of fish Oreochromis niloticus, breeding systems, progeny testing to establish the base stock.

From the base stock by using family selection, sex reverse and combined with genetic testing, the super male tilapia strain (sex chromosome YY) was built, then by crossing this super male tilapia strain with normal female(sex chromosome XX) to produce a particularly high rate of male Offspring (XY) for commercial use, named "SD tilapia."

The male ratio of SD tilapia is up to 95%, so there is no use of male hormone or other drugs. In addition, SD tilapia is large size, fast-growing, heavy fillet, low feed conversion rates, and excellent resistance to disease, etc., better than rest strains.
